Short-cut for Windows 7: Play with windows explorer

Normally people does not know much shortcut that they can use in windows 7 and save their time. Today I am going to tell about some short cuts. All of it are related to windows explorer.

First of all the default windows explorer button which comes as pinned task in our taskbar on right side of windows button. On clicking on it the default windows explorer opens in libraries folder. Do you know you can change it?

 Ok, if no, then right click on the windows button, and then right click on “windows explorer”.

 Click on properties.

Now pay attention! After the %windir%\explorer.exe, give a space then write /e, (with the coma) than again give a space followed by the address of the directory you copied in the previous step.

If you want to open my Computer or my documents then, you have to just copy and paste the following text in the target field.

My computer

%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /e,::{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}

My documents:

%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /n,::{450D8FBA-AD25-11D0-98A8-0800361B1103}
