 Advantages:

As per my experience the advantages which I felt on this phone over others are:
1

1. 2 GB RAM: the free RAM helps the phone to perform faster and I never felt any wait time to perform any work. Previously I had to wait some 3-5 seconds before my camera starts, call dialler starts. However with canvas A350, the phone is super fast giving a great pleasure to use.

2. Look and feel: the phone looks so awesome that holding it in your hands and showing it off to your friends gives an outstanding feeling.

3. Sensitive touch screen: the screen touch of the phone is very sensitive and it responds with just a small touch.

4. connectivity: the wifi, Bluetooth and location service gives a perfect way to stay connected with friends and society. I can keep the wifi on for long time and battery does drain out. J

5. Battery back-up: If your keep the phone in standby mode the battery does not drain out by itself. Like from night to morning the battery uses only 5-10 %age.

6. Light weight: the phone gives no feeling of weight as you are carrying a phone.

7. 16 MP main camera: the photos come in a perfect manner with the main camera.

8. Some photos taken are below.

9. Front 8 MP rear camera: while on video chat with friends, they say: we are having a great view on our phone from your side. You have a great camera. The selfie comes very much clear.

10. Notification Light: one small light blinks in every 5-10 seconds interval, f there is any notification and it needs your attention.

Disadvantages:

1. While I am using the location service and wifi and gaming, all at the same time, the battery draining out in a fast manner.
2. It takes nearly 2-4 hours for the phone to get charged fully.
Sometimes, While in charging mode the screen does not behave properly and gives mis-funtion and touch screen.
3. On zooming photos taken from phone gives distortion and are not clear.
The ringing volume on general profile is less and I am not able to hear ringing while driving.
4. Buttons placement: The power and sound button are placed on the same side and I have accidentally clicked on wrong key many times.

Tips and tricks to make it useful in its best way:

1. M! Security:

Use in built app M! Security, you can block the numbers from which you don’t want any disturbing calls or advertising messages.

2. Camera: in camera use voice control and say “cheese” or “capture” to take the photo. Power control widget: to make wifi on/off you have scroll down notification panel and click on top button to switch to control area, however using the power control widget you can control below items without scrolling down the notification panel.

3. Colour separation in SIM: you can give your own colour in the two separate SIM. By this it is easy to distinguish between SIMs, whenever you are making/receiving any calls.

4. Power Control Widget: The power control widget helps to control the wifi, bluetooth, location service, brightness to be controlled directly from home page screen.

How To Recover accidentally deleted files from SD card.

The addition of camera in smart phone has led to adding important moments of life with the phone. So whenever we go, we click and save the moments in our SD card. Now sometime problems may come when accidentally photos get deleted.

Before knowing about how to recover them, let’s learn a bit about SD card and its way of saving files. Smartphones are like small computer and Android are their OS. At the time of starting the phone, android scans for all the memory in the SD card and if it is not able to read some files (corrupt files) then move them into LOST.DIR.

What is LOST.DIR?

LOST.DIR is a system folder maintained by the OS. While the phones starts, Android OS places the recovered files in it. If OS is unable to understand a file, then it move the file to LOST.DIR. Normally files present in the LOST.DIR are recoverable. It can be considered as “Recycle bin” of the windows system.

Files may end up stored in LOST.DIR folder due to following reasons:

  • Abruptly pulling out SD card from Android phone
  • Interruptions while downloading files on Android device
  • Sudden freezing of Android device operating system
  • Switching off the device while some read-write process is carrying on

The files in the process of copying are also renamed.

How to recover files from LOST.DIR.

If the files present in the LOST.DIR are not recovered quickly and there are chances of losing them. So it advisable to recover them as fast as possible. If you don’t want to recover any file, then you can delete the content of it also. It is safe to delete the LOST.DIR folder also to free the space in your phone. The OS will create an empty LOST.DIR in next phone start up.

Some useful software:

There are many useful software which anyone can get in top list of Google search to recover deleted files, however they are not freeware and user has to pay for them

Below are some software which may come as freeware and ease to use to recover the deleted files from SD card.

  1. Remo software.
  2. Recuva.
  3. ES file explorer.
