The desire to share content and access it on multiple devices will motivate consumers to start storing a third (nearly 33%) of their digital content using cloud computing by 2016, Gartner said today.
In 2011, it was just 7%, however it is rising to 33% by 2015. This seems a great rise. So, the question arises what is cloud and how it is beneficial to us? Today we are going tell you details regarding clouds, its uses and advantages.
What is Cloud?
This question is normal and arises in many people mind. To understand this, let's first think that how do you save your data (photos, files, music) in your computer (hard disk, pen drive, DVD, CD). If you save data in that manner then, you are saving data in your local system.
However today, many people likes to store their data somewhere else, out of their PC, like photos in Facebook, videos in you tube. In that case your data is not in your local system, it is somewhere else, and in that case cloud comes into picture. They can be treated as cloud.
